CulturALL Baseball Coming 2023

Who we are

CulturALL Baseball should not even be a thing but alas, it is. Baseball has had a torrid love/hate affair with minority communities since its advent in the 1870s as a whites only sport.
Prior to Jackie Robinson integrating baseball in 1947, only minorities who could pass for white could play in the major leagues. Once America’s favorite pastime sport; baseball has fallen to the wayside to football, basketball, soccer, golf, and combat sports in terms of popularity due to its archaic rules and slow pace of play that is a turnoff to today’s generation. While baseball continues to grow on the world’s stage, it is increasingly lagging in terms of youth participation.

Our approach

CulturALL Baseball to the rescue. Where once at its peak in the 1980s with almost 18 percent of Black major leaguers, its now at an all time low prior to Jackie Robinson’s debut at 7.2 percent according to TIDES (The Institute of Diversity and Ethics in Sports), May 2022.
Our mission is to not only recruit and get youth from disenfranchised communities to play the game our parents and grandparents loved regardless of its racist past; but secure scholarships and potential careers that are associated with the sport such as coaching, broadcasting, marketing, and ownership. Baseball can be fun again once music and culture is infused to make it interesting and entertaining to today’s generation and beyond.
